Due to continued growth Downer is currently seeking applications from enthusiastic and self-motivated Planner/Schedulers for a full-time opportunity to join our Facilties Business Unit in the Perth CBD. You will be responsible for managing the Planning and scheduling activities, while also supporting the Project Manager in the effective implementation of Downers procedures and policies. You will be an integral member of the operational team to support our multi-disciplined workforce.

About the Role:
  • Support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with ensuring the schedule and Planning is developed in line with the execution methodology and logically linked.
  • Updating / progressing the scheduled to capture an accurate representation of earned works.
  • Preparing the project progress submission as per the contract reporting requirements
  • Supporting with the development of work packages
  • Supporting with estimating any emergent / variation works
  • Supporting with the project controls management of the contract, to ensure contract KPIs are achieved.
  • Ensure all employees work in accordance with Downers Policies, Procedures and Management Plans.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU
  • Preferred Qualification with extensive scheduling and planning experience within a facilities business
  • Previous experience in the coordination and delivery of multi-discipline complex brownfield projects with a background in shutdowns and maintenance projects;
  • A demonstrable commercial, contract and financial management skills combined with proven change and people management experience;
  • An analytical ability to resolve commercial issues and an ability to minimise risks and maximise opportunities is a must, as well as refined financial reporting skills;
  • Strong HSEQ focus
  • Knowledge of Primavera (P6) or MS Projects covering Critical Path Management, advanced resource allocation, project baseline comparisons and project reporting;
  • Understanding of commercial reports including project progress, positioning and control experience
