All progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you.

About the role:

We are looking for an energetic and inspiring leader to join our team as Manager, Integrated Planning - Rio Tinto, IS&T based in Perth, Western Australia. This role leads the Integrated Planning function that runs the overall demand, resourcing, governance, reporting, vendor management and integrated plans for Rio Tinto's portfolio of work in Western Australia.

This role is accountable for understanding the broad priorities of our business through close collaboration with our business partners. Subsequently, this role determines demand and timing for various IS&T delivery skill sets, supports the delivery manager in sourcing sufficient roles at the right time, and allocates resources via a value-maximised, integrated plan. The purpose is to drive consistent delivery aligned to strategic priorities of IS&T customers.

This is a role focused on leadership, planning, collaborating and improvement requiring an understanding of our mining business and does not require a technical, IS&T background.

Reporting to the Chief Advisor IS&T APAC West, and working within our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team, you will:
  • Be committed to the safety of yourself and your team and lead by example with an ever-present growth mindset.
  • Manage the resource allocation and scheduling aligned to current and future demand, aligning to the outlined priorities of the business areas.
  • Facilitate onboarding of resources in collaboration with hiring managers.
  • Co-ordinate the planning activities for IS&T APAC W demand and develop integrated plans aligned to business priorities.
  • Measure and track performance, risk and governance of portfolios.
  • Manage all APAC W reporting, at hub and portfolio level including spend, resource utilisation, forecasting, and value delivered.
  • Monitor the benefits, value being delivered and budget spend
  • Provide contractor and vendor management.
  • Be an active member of the IS&T WA leadership team and persistently demonstrate the Rio Tinto values of Care, Courage and Curiosity.

What you'll bring:
  • A growth mindset and a history of fostering positive culture and developing people.
  • Excellent collaboration and team-engagement skills with the ability to work across various regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • A competent and visible leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing and empowering team members resulting in positive employee engagement.
  • Deep experience in planning and delivery across a broad and diverse portfolio preferably within the resources industry.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the Rio Tinto business and be able to articulate the priorities and opportunities throughout the supply chain.
  • Ability to deliver and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in high-value budget management, financial control and reporting.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, management or another relevant discipline.

What we offer

Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
  • A work environment where safety is always the number one priority
  • A competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive program

  • Attractive share ownership plan
  • Company provided insurance cover

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, out of our Central Park office, working Monday - Friday, with ad hoc travel to sites in the Pilbara, domestically and globally.
