Our Project Delivery Group (PDG) helps clients with world-class project delivery from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies through our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Hatch is currently seeking a Document Controller to join ourteam of professionals in our Winnipeg office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control all documentation, internal and external related to the assigned projects
  • Check incoming documents (revision / issue reason / title / etc.)
  • Classify the documents in our EDM system, carefully fill in the metadata
  • Process and distribute documents internally and to our external partners (bidders, contractors, suppliers, consultant, and client)
  • Generate reports on demand
  • Support our customer (internal/external) with the use of our GED system
  • Ensure that document management procedures are respected
  • Support the other departments by batch processing, as needed, batch printing / downloading of documents
  • Other related tasks


Key Skills :
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Attentionto detailand concern for quality
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent priority management skills


Requirements :
  • University degree in document management and archives or relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe software
  • Knowledge of EDM systems (LiveLink, Sharepoint) is an asset
