Research Analyst
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
Fortescue Future Industries is currently undertaking a rapid expansion and are seeking applications for a Research Analyst to support Fortescue's portfolio of green energy manufacturing projects. FFI is or is looking to manufacture a number of green energy products including but not limited to electrolysers, cables, solar PV, wind turbines, etc. and requires analysts to provide market intelligence on the potential markets for these and related products.

FFI is or is looking to manufacture a number of green energy products including but not limited to electrolysers, cables, solar PV, wind turbines, etc. and requires analysts to provide market intelligence on the potential markets for these and related products.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on the relevant product and market including (but not limited to) market size, technologies, trends, forecasts, growth dependencies, risk analysis, and competitor and partner analysis
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the relevant product and market
- Deliver analysis through written reports and presentations
- Correspond with, present to, and advise if necessary main stakeholders within the FFI on analysis regarding the relevant product landscape and market dynamics
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
- Engage with stakeholders to frame and analyse key project decisions and gather critical data
- Working closely with Principal Commercial in the development of business cases, and subsequent input to board papers and executive reports
- Other ad hoc tasks as required to support the Manufacturing commercial function
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience in similar market intelligence and market analysis roles
- An analytical mindset and an eye for detail
- Ability taking complex, disparate ideas and distil them into simple concepts
- Advanced problem-solving and business analysis techniques, with an ability to report and use metrics to communicate insights.
- Degree in a suitable field (e.g. business, finance, economics, engineering)
- Highly motivated and proactive, comfortable working autonomously in a complex environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Resilient with an ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
