Provide Technical Expertise to support Construction & Commissioning activities on all Central Services Projects, with particular focus on the improvement of relevant skills in Electrical/Instrument activities & procedures, in accordance with relevant standards and Company policies and procedures. Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical training to counterparts within commissioning group and the Central Services Department as needed.

Support Central Services Construction, Field Engineering, QA/QC & Commissioning, to ensure electrical and instrumentation infrastructure is constructed & commissioned safely and to the required standards, by the scheduled milestone dates.

Interface with Central Services Safety Department and be responsible for application & management of safety performance for all employees in Central Services. Ensure compliance to PTFI Fresh standards, Top Risks and SOP's.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Close monitoring and management of Critical Risk mitigation. Participate in and manage safety meetings, safety motivation and safety inspections as a necessary means to promote safety for counterparts and all personnel within the Construction, Field Engineering, QA-QC & Commissioning Teams.

2. Provide clear guidelines and information regarding Construction & Commissioning activities to counterparts and others to ensure safe project completion to the required design and standards, as per the schedule.

3. Assist preparation and planning of all Commissioning activities, including interaction with QA-QC Team on project readiness.

4. Understand project designs & relevant documentation, construction methodology, and project material requirements.

5. Participate in determining equipment & tooling requirements, electrical and instrument material requirements including (MTOs) Material Take Offs. Actively support the monitoring, tracking and expediting of material delivery accordingly to meet project schedule.

6. Participate in technology transfer to counterparts regarding the latest construction methodology & commissioning procedures while also ensuring the success with technical and administrative challenges.

7. Operate across multiple project work fronts effectively. Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task multiple issues with little oversight or direct supervision.

8. Assist the management of Human Resources to ensure adequate, competent Supervision at Construction & Commissioning work fronts in order to accommodate project safety, schedules and budgets.

9. Work closely with Cost Control and Schedulers on progress and completion of project Construction and Commissioning; to meet agreed schedules safely and to standards.

10. Work closely with Field Engineering, including review of construction design drawings and preparation of "As-Built drawings", where changes are made. Monitor Construction to ensure that Construction is completed to design. Monitor drawing revisions and ensure these are properly recorded and filed.

11. Work closely with QA-QC to ensure all Construction is audited and complies with the approved design and relevant standards. Ensure all tasks & relevant documentation are completed on time to allow safe Commissioning to proceed to schedule.

12. Transfer Technical Expertise to Construction, Field Engineering, QA-QC & Commissioning counterparts to complement their professional development and to improve procedures.

13. Monitor Commissioning activities and assist improvement with relevant procedures where possible so that Commissioning schedules are met safely. Provide supportive feedback to management for continuous improvement of construction, procedures, SOP's, testing and commissioning methods.

14. Interact with Contractors & Vendors where necessary, in the support of Commissioning activities, ensuring they comply with required safety and standards. Support the logistics of outside personnel and equipment as needed.

15. Assist compilation of Commissioning handover packages to make sure that clients receive all documentation verifying proper operation, successful testing and the design complies with agreed client requirements and scope of work.

16. Where necessary, provide detailed scope of works and supporting documentation for Contractors & Vendors to the contracts department.

17. Assist the Construction Project Managers with the management of schedules and priorities for Commissioning activities.

18. Review the IFC drawings and specifications, to ensure compliance with company and Government of Indonesia regulations, standards, and procedures.

19. Liaise with Construction Project Managers, Admins, and Engineers to review and update standards and procedures, whenever necessary.

20. Review monthly actual Construction & Commissioning activities against the plan and budget in order to ensure the achievement of department objectives.

21. Communicate and support the implementation of Company policies and procedures to ensure Teams perform their duties in a safe and environmentally aware manner.

22. Develop, monitor, evaluate, and appraise performance and potential capabilities of relevant personnel to contribute the development of professional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with eight (8) years directly related work experience of which three (3) years has been spent working in a senior supervisory role. OR Electrical and/or Instrumentation Technical training certificates or equal qualifications with twelve (12) years of experience in a related field.

• Experience in Project Engineering & Design and Construction & Commissioning of heavy industrial projects, specifically in Metal Mining would be a plus.

• Multidisciplinary experience, including Materials Management, Cost Estimating, Project Scheduling, and Project Budget Management.

• Senior Supervisory experience with Construction & Commissioning activities, with an emphasis on Safety & Critical Risk management.

• Competent Technical knowledge applicable to the successful Construction & Commissioning of major Mining Related Projects.

• Ability to supervise & manage effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

• Ability to safely coordinate the Construction & Commissioning of multidisciplinary projects to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.

• Ability to transfer technical knowledge to National work force, to advance their professional abilities.

• An understanding of project budgets, schedules, and cost benefit analysis for project work to determine cost effective engineering solutions.

• Ability to plan Commissioning resource requirements to meet the demand of multiple projects and potential schedule conflicts.

• Ability to prepare technical specifications and documents to clearly define required technical services, construction methods, and equipment.

• Ability to plan and supervise the work of support Contractors & Vendors.

• Knowledge of Medium Voltage Power distribution (35kV and below) Switchgear & relevant Relay Protection.

• Knowledge of Medium and Low Voltage Motor Control with Metering and Relaying experience.

• Knowledge of Conveyor Systems, Crushing Systems, Pumping Systems, PLCs, Automation & Motor Control, Fire Protection Systems, & Transformer Protection Systems.

• Knowledgeable on the NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC).

• Knowledgeable on the NFPA 70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace.

• Underground mining experience a plus.

• Low and Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives experience.

• Allen-Bradley PLC, MCC and VFD knowledge a plus.
