Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include installing/maintaining remote data collection systems across Cortez Mining District, including Geokon, MineTrax, LoadSense telemetry systems, downloading data from loggers at remote instrumented monitoring wells, maintaining signage and access to monitoring sites, coordinating with other departments for drill pad prep and reclamation, assisting with instrument installations, and collaborating with Dewatering and Mine Ops to recover monitoring wells, collecting down-hole videos and collecting manual water levels. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Computer skills for downloading data loggers, data collection, experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
• Familiarity with Vulcan and AutoCAD, or similar mine software preferred
• Basic electrical skills to trouble shoot basic wiring and make wires splices required
• Ability to work around pit high walls and walk on uneven ground in various weather conditions required
• Ability to carry 40 pounds, miscellaneous equipment and/or lift loads for short periods of time required
• Ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams required
• Ability to communicate with the Operations Department to direct digging or other work necessary for recovery of monitoring wells or similar work required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Must be organized to ensure detailed paperwork and note taking required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
