We are looking to add safety-minded surveyor to our dedicated team and will provide the training necessary to become a complete mine surveyor. Take the keys and start your career!

In This Role You Will

• Drive around a mine site in a safe and appropriate manner, following all Newmont's rules and procedures.
• Learn and follow safety rules, report hazards, and take responsibility for your actions.
• Demonstrate excellent listening and strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Follow established processes to complete all mine site survey tasks.
• Strive to make safety the foundation to everything you do and offer suggestions for improvement when you see them.
• You will also have other responsibilities and tasks in line with the role of Engineer tech.

Your Training, Skills and Experience Checklist

• Entry level, no experience required in mining .
• Able to drive a motor vehicle, and must possess a valid driver's license with at least one-year of driving experience
• Able to read, write, and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements.
• Reliable, consistent work history.
• Although an entry level position, will hire experienced surveyors.
• AutoCAD, Trimble Business, I-Site, Excel and Pix4D computer skills preferred.
• GPS(Trimble tcs7), S6 and I-site scanner skills preferred.

Working Conditions

• You will work a 10-hour shift, straight days
• This full-time position is located at the Cripple Creek & Victor mine site in Colorado.
