POSITION OVERVIEW
The L-SXEW Shipping Clerk will provide administrative support to the SXEW-Leaching Department to ensure an organized operation.

The L-SXEW Shipping Clerk will provide administrative support to the SXEW-Leaching Department to ensure an organized operation.
SHIPPING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Check stage loads before trucks arrive in the morning.
- Communicate with PLS to get a list of Drivers/Trucks, scheduled for the day.
- Weight in Trucks when they arrive and before they leave.
- Communicate with the Drivers about safety procedures and protocols.
- Communicate with the forklift driver to ensure the correct material is loaded.
- Enter driver, truck and weight information in OPUS.
- Assign correct bundles weights to truck in OPUS
- Create a Loading Sheet and a separate weight ticket for internal records.
- Take pictures of the load on the truck before and after it is tarped.
- Enter heavy weight in OPUS.
- Process Bill Of Lading, Packing List and Assay report in OPUS for each Shipment.
- Ensure Driver has chocked the wheels of his/her truck and is wearing PPE while strapping and tarping the load.
- Have the driver sign BOL and give them the correct paperwork after he/her finishes tarping and the last picture is taken.
- Enter daily total shipped in the SXstat file.
- Create a Shipping report and email it out after all the trucks of the day are done.
ADMINISTRATION ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Collect paperwork from the driver and verify truck, trailer and seal information.
- Create a Daily report of deliveries for the day and send it out.
- Update files to ensure that all inventory sheets are correct and match with physical inventory.
- Collect paperwork from employees and supervisors to file all the operational and administrative information.
- Collect the correct information to keep updated KRONOS (emplyees payroll).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to drivers, employees and supervisors.
- Prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Requires the ability to do multiple tasks. .
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Software, MIMS).
- Prior shipping experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) years of related experience
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY
- The job requires training or instruction in the area of environmental Awareness.
- This job requires training or instruction in the area of Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA and/or MSHA training.
