Job description:
1. SCOPE OF WORK
The onsite Trainer will be accountable to provide and teach accredited course material, to give direction and guidance to the employees on Training and Development topics that are available within the workplace and externally. Introducing all aspects of safety awareness to employees is a vital part of the role; it will be expected to lead by example and to promote international best practices. Administers, schedules and tracks the Site wide implementation of training strategies and programs for Camp Services and, operates in accordance to the Company's vision, spirit, ethics, standards and professionalism, representing the corporation in a positive approach. Assists in the development of a broad-spectrum local language training program participates in setting the groundwork for an integrated quality management accreditation and implementation that is recognized in Panama and abroad.
2. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Deliver the training of individuals or groups of employees on each camp with job specific/department material, accredited course material etc
Ø Accountable for improving the productivity of the Company's employees throughassessing developmental needs in order to drivetraininginitiatives, identifying and arranging and delivering suitable trainingsolutions to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Ø Ensuring that the organization's resources are efficiently utilized
Ø Facilitates Train-the-Trainer sessions with each camp supervision level and above, in an effort to develop qualified national trainers in each Camp.
Ø Ensures consistent scheduling is up to date and maintains staff training records and the ongoing development and maintenance of the Camp Services Training Matrix.
Ø Assist in the production and administration of training materials for in-house courses.
Ø Scheduling training sessions to minimize disruption to normal working.
Ø Performs ongoing assessments of training programs to ensure the staff are skilled in the industry most current best practices.
Ø Develops assessments to guarantee the level of knowledge of all people involved in the food chain.
Ø Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning.
Ø Assess the effectiveness of the training delivery and content through formal and ongoing validation
Ø Produce weekly and monthly reports.
Ø Creative and innovative thinking, which enables the employee trainer to keep things fresh to hold trainees' attention, and also improvise on their teaching style
Ø Conduct ongoing needs analysis leveraging employee feedback, field interactions, and subject-matter-expertise to adjust learning strategy and curriculum
Ø Any other related functions as requested
3. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Ø A Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Teaching, Catering, or Hospitality, or in other related discipline.
Ø Knowledge in relation to, OSHA General Industry, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000, and HACCP an advantage.
Ø Experience developing training content, facilitating training and coordinating training events.
Ø Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ø Strong presentation skills
Ø Strong organization, leadership, people management and team building skills.
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Fluent in Spanish, Spoken English is a plus but not essential.
Ø An excellent communicator and able to work with all levels of the organization.
Ø Self-motivated with strong initiative.
Ø Excellent customer service skills and strong customer focus.
Ø Attention to detail and high standards of performance.
4. REPORTING
Ø Reports directly to Training and development officer
Ø Liaison with all HOD's
