Position summary
Downer Rail & Transit Systems division has exciting opportunities for Testing & Commissioning Technicians to join our team in VIC - Pakenham. These roles are on a rotating roster.

The High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) Project is a Victorian Government initiative and a $2.3 billion investment in Victoria's rolling stock industry.

We currently have multiple fixed term positions as part of the Testing and Commissioning team. This is an opportunity for you to be part of an iconic project and work with a high performing team. Working a rotating roster you will support the Test and Commissioning manager when conducting sub-system, train level testing and commissioning in accordance with project test procedures to strict project deadlines. This will also include static testing, dynamic commissioning, type testing and technical support through to train acceptance and start of revenue service.

About you:
  • Meet the requirements of a Rail Safety worker.
  • A-grade electricians or dual trade, Instrument technicians, Test technicians with engineering background or Mechanical trade.
  • Significant experience in a rolling stock test and commissioning preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance or asset management environment.
  • Ability to follow test procedures and electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Proven fault-finding skills and ability to repair defects in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership that strives towards the commitment to Zero Harm.
