The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Trainer for a position on Lihir Island, PNG. Reporting to the Supervisor- HR training the purpose of this role is to provide high quality safety focused training programs in accordance with Newcrest and Lihir policies, procedures and the competency framework. You will deliver value by:
  • Ensuring personal and team compliance with all company HSE requirements & policies including Fitness for Work.
  • Delivering induction training packages to a large audience and assist with users to complete online.
  • Reviewing Training schedules to find efficiencies without effecting quality.
  • Signing off inductees in MY learning and creating digital records.
  • Running training reports and operate as Level 3 My Learning Administrator.
  • Providing My Learning technical advice to end users, instructors and people leaders
  • Working constructively with diverse groups of people.
  • Assisting in the management of contract Trainers and course scheduling

Essential criteria:
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience essential.
  • Good understanding of administrative tasks including data entry, maintaining schedules, keeping records, responding to queries etc
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Working knowledge of My Learning, Trobexis, CHESS, CCM is desirable
  • Microsoft Office skills (excel, word)
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from time to time.
  • High attention to detail with good time management skills.





Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary or vocational education essential.
  • Certificate or relevant qualification in Administration or Business is desirable.
  • PNG Drivers Licence Class 6

Requirements:
  • Open to PNG nationals only
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last 6 months
  • Point of Hire NCD
