Description

Under general supervision, provides technical advice and guidance to ensure reliability and sustainability of all machinery at an appropriate cost.

  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies
  • Reduce production costs through development of maintenance methods to improve process efficiency and reliability
  • Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment
  • Research new reliability processes and identify methods to predict and improve reliability
  • Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures
  • Report on Key Performance Indices (KPIs)
  • Perform failure mode and effect analysis
  • Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and prepare reports
  • Proactively develop and provide safety perspective for equipment and processes, make recommendations of Engineering solutions or methods to eliminate hazards
  • Audit work packages and maintenance work completion data (completion cycle, schedule compliance, repetitive failures, PM compliance)
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering, OR
  • Master's degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and two (2) years of related experience in Engineering
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Engineering
  • Experience with Engineering design drawings and schematics
  • Customer focused to provide quality service to improve equipment and process reliability
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
  • Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and express thought and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communication
  • Self-starter with solid integrity
  • Understand the importance of safety, legality and quality
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing


Preferred

  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)
  • Business Objects (BO) experience
  • SAP experience, specifically as a tool for obtaining equipment information and history
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • PI Data Access experience
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Experience managing projects in a mining or heavy industrial environment
  • Reliability Engineering experience
  • Mining industry experience
  • Ability to lead teams and work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of predictive technologies such as vibration, ultrasonic, oil analysis, etc.
  • Training or experience with electrical power and control systems
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, able to motivate and develop peers and employees
  • Strong character: Humble, transparent, and willing to admit mistakes
  • Outspoken and eager to challenge prevailing assumptions
  • Breaks down silos, committing resources to the greatest value in and outside area of responsibility
  • Value seeking in setting priorities, iterative approach to solving problems
  • Engaged in the process, providing support to customers/stakeholders at all levels
  • Has strong computer skills

Pay Range :

$85,500 - $120,600/Annually

Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
