Blast Operator
Work Location: Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people
Roster: 8 days on 6 days off - FIFO ex Perth and Busselton

Blast Operator
Work Location: Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

Key accountabilities will include:
- Carry out work instructions as directed by Blast Supervisor or appointed Shotfirer
- Marking out, priming, loading, stemming, tie in of blast patterns, blast guard duties and doing everything necessary to support and assist the shot-firer to achieve the daily loading and blasting objectives in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate ancillary equipment (stemming loader etc) in accordance with FMG Policies and Procedures
- Work as a team member, and do all things necessary to become a valued member of the Blast Crew team
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience working in similar role is essential for experienced blast crew positions
- Experience working in field role in mining environment required for entry level roles
- Good communication skills
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Willing to work in a hot, humid and dusty environment
- WA C Class Driver's Licence
- Ancillary equipment operation in mining industry desirable but not essential
