Position summary
The Training Delivery Consultant role is part of a team that is responsible for the delivery and support processes of training and capability assessment materials associated for Downer's global solutions.

Reporting into the Global Solutions Advisory Training Manager this role is imperative to the ongoing learning and development of Downer's workforce. Delivering and assisting to develop competency-based training and assessment materials for all of Downer's global solutions including Finance, HR systems and associated processes in accordance with the needs of target audiences.

THE ROLE:
  • Deliver training content to end users of Downer's global solutions (finance, payroll/HR and other operational business systems).
  • Prepare for all assigned courses to ensure a solid understanding of content
  • Engage and consult with the wider training team, business stakeholders and SME's to develop and agree on the training strategy and plan.
  • Following the training delivery and system deployment GoLive, lead or participate in the hyper care support sessions.
  • Actively maintain the system artefacts i.e. training manuals, quick reference guides, PPT's and other knowledge articles.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of the training courses, resource/support tools and assessment materials.
  • Ensure participant feedback questionnaires are completed at the end of each session.
  • Ensure roll-call is completed for all sessions and feed back to the Training Administrator for entry into the LMS.
  • Capture all participant questions not addressed in the session. Follow up to ensure questions are answered and all participants are updated.
  • Capture feedback on opportunities for improvement in delivery and communicate to Training Design, Project Teams.
  • Capture feedback on participants and ensure recommendations for further training and/or support are appropriately communicated.
  • Understand adult learning principles and ensure delivery methodology applied provides the best outcome for participants.
  • Pro-actively keep abreast of all system changes which may impact current or future training.


ABOUT YOU:
  • Extensive demonstrated knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering face to face training, including the use of technology such as MS Teams or other for virtual engagement.
  • Experience in delivery of finance and/or payroll related content.
  • Operational experience in finance and/or payroll/HR teams with solid understanding of related processes.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or payroll/HR systems training highly regarded
  • Highly advanced communication, presentation and training skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with the project teams and business to understand the user base, the skills of the users and the desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to act with integrity.
  • Is self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic and highly organised.
  • Ability to learn new systems/processes in short time frames.
  • Ability to deliver with confidence and control training delivery pace/attendees to ensure outcomes are met.
  • Works as a team player within the Global Solution Advisory and Training Team to support business aims.
  • Process improvement mindset.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in education, communications or training related discipline.
  • Diploma of Training Design and Development or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • TAEDEL501A Facilitate e-learning (Highly regarded)
  • TAEDES503A Design and develop e-learning resources (Highly regarded)
