Summary

Junior Project Controller is involved from the initiation phase of projects until close-out. This person interacts with all disciplines on the project i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning depending on the phase of the project.

Junior Project Controller should be a driven and a proactive person to seek information from project team and ensure the implementation of the project procedures and processes. S/He shall coordinate day-to-day project controls tasks and assist in preparing weekly and monthly project reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and attending in project meetings
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  • Follow up tasks with internal leads and assist with schedule and cost management
  • Coordinate with Risk manager for developing risk register
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives for project management tasks
  • Maintain project progress data and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Use Hatch tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
  • Create and maintain Project Controls Minutes of Meetings (MoMs)
  • Track and manage incoming and outgoing project management paper work
  • Coordinate with Risk, Planners and Cost Controller on projects
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources and information
  • Follow up tasks with internal leads and assist with schedule and cost management


Essentials:
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or engineering
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft ExcelandWord
  • Profound English written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • An understanding of project processes
  • Some knowledge of Budgets, Cost, Trending, Forecasting, Planning and Scheduling


Preferred:

  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
  • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and cost control materials
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with risk management
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project)
