We are currently seeking a person to fill the role of Senior Treasury Analyst - Compliance within our Treasury team based at Head Office in Melbourne. Reporting to the Principal -Treasury Operations, you will have overall responsibility for the Treasury compliance calendar as well managing our know your client (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance with external customers (banks and refineries). We are looking for someone who will look to optimise this engagement and will be part of embedding continuous improvement and a culture of creativity, collaboration and innovation. You will also gain exposure through involvement in Treasury Back Office processes.

In this role you will be required to:
  • Undertake and manage KYC and AML requirements of banks and refineries
  • Maintain a central depository of KYC and AML documentation
  • Maintain up to date bank account and system entitlement registers including supporting documents
  • Manage a Treasury Compliance Calendar to ensure compliance activities are completed and reported on time
  • Assist with Treasury engagement with internal and external auditors
  • Provide coverage for executing Treasury Back Office processes e.g. reconciliations, deal confirmations, settlements, issue resolution, assist with the preparation of the monthly Treasury report
  • Support management of relevant jurisdictional risk, ensuring procedures and processes exist to identify and respond to legislative change, ensuring reporting requirements are understood and successfully completed, building relationships with local banking and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting maintenance of Treasury systems, including the Treasury Management System (Integrity)


Our ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce, Law, Information Technology or a related field. You will have significant Treasury or Finance knowledge and strategic thinking capability to help us continually evolve the compliance management strategy and execution.

Strong reporting, financial, analytical and troubleshooting skills, with an investigative, methodical and tenacious mind set. An ability to understand, articulate and drive towards the end objective is critical in this role. A strong eye for detail and accuracy is critical.

Possessing excellent relationship building skills, you will be self-driven and collaborative with the ability to work well within a small team environment as well as with people from a variety of different functions and locations. You must be a confident problem solver, seeking to continually improve or innovate Treasury strategy and processes to ensure it is best-fit for the organisation.
