Reporting to the Senior Training Coordinator, the Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) Coordinator, Training and Development is responsible for ensuring the operational processes for Elkview’s autonomous haulage training program and implementation are comprehensive, safe, and effective. You will be required to work closely with the Support Departments and Training Coordinators to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and training completion to meet training requirements and have a positive impact with the new technology.

Someone who is self-motivated, but collaborates well with a team, who can deliver training programs in a professional manner. You are someone with strong attention to detail, who is adaptable, and able to prioritize contending demands.

Responsibilities:
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Conduct operator reviews to continually improve knowledge and skill set to ensure safe and productive performance
  • Adopting and customizing existing OEM and dealer processes
  • Coordinating and ensuring 3rd party (OEM, dealer) training, both offsite and on is appropriate and consistent with Teck policies and delivered effectively
  • Work with 3rd party on software updates and training requirements
  • Schedule and deliver comprehensive training based on site requirements including: hands-on, computer based training, classroom, simulator training and field work
  • Develop and modify Standard Practices and Procedures in accordance with site standards and practices
  • Assist with the development of all systems and documentation pertinent to the site’s training requirements
  • Analyze training practices and data in order to provide continuous improvement in safety and efficiencies


Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years' experience in an industrial environment combined with a broad scope of experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®
  • Experience with FrontRunner or other autonomous dispatch platform would be an asset
