Gurgaon/ Gurugram – Delhi NCR

As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Be responsible for the production of mechanical equipment layouts, models and drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Mechanical Engineer
  • Have sound knowledge in the design of project specific mechanical components or systems, as well as fundamental knowledge of the plant processes.
  • Candidate should have experience to work on platework design and modelling involving chute, duct, bins, silos, launders
  • Experience to work on 3D modelling using OpenPlant / SP3D/ PDMS / E3D required
  • Assist in interpreting the plant PFDs, P&IDs, and plant battery limits and constraints
  • Understand the owner/user requirements and the project mission
  • Coordinate the work of draftspersons and senior draftspersons in the preparation of contract drawings, record keeping and monitoring
  • Perform conceptual layout work as well as check drawings prior to release
  • Develop design details of standard design elements
  • Prepare 3D equipment modeling and 3D design
  • Generating 2D drawings from the 3D model as required by the project
  • Perform the design and drafting of mechanical plant models using applicable standards, project technical specifications and enterprise or project procedures.
  • Execute designs following the mechanical and layout design criteria developed
  • Use vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the model
  • Create and maintain check sheets for all equipment as vendor data is received. Back model all changes as required.
  • Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models
  • Provide material quantity takeoffs for estimating purposes or inclusion into bulk commodity purchases and installation contracts
  • Conduct operability and maintainability reviews, walkthroughs. Familiarity with HAZOP studies will be an advantage.


You bring to the role:
  • Engineering diploma, degree or equivalent (mechanical)
  • Extensive experience between 8 to 20 yrs
  • Experience within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
  • Detailed design and modeling skills for the plant layout of mechanical equipment
  • Thorough knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the design and systems related to the project
  • Able to lead small teams, plan and supervise the work of others
  • Understanding of other discipline interfaces and requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
