Position summary
Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is committed to providing the highest quality Rollingstock & Overhaul services for both the local VIC and greater Australian markets. We are currently seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join the team.

The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to ensure that all technical training requirements are met for the RTS business. This support includes, but is not limited to the below responsibilities:
  • Undergoing superuser training for the LMS and being the RTS representative for LMS enhancements and troubleshooting
  • Set up of new courses in Downer Learning (DL), e.g. Group led courses or RTS specific courses. Includes liaising with course sponsor to determine training cohort, expiry dates and triggers (e.g. job roles, position titles, location)
  • Organising monthly technical training calendar for sites. Mainly AMC for the time being, but set to expand to Pakenham and other sites progressively. Includes monitoring scheduled training programs and ensuring all delivery, resources and logistics related matters are handled in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintaining the competency requirements contained within the RTS job role at the direction of the Technical Training Manager.
  • Liaising with technical trainers around new course requirements, reporting for RPL, training calendar availability and set up of scheduled training

You will have:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment / HR Diploma/Degree advantageous
  • Experience in management of structured entry programs preferred; Experience in administration of training programs
  • Capacity to influence internal stakeholders
  • Well-developed communication skills and customer service/solutions orientation
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy and productivity
  • Strong competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work autonomously towards a required outcome, be proactive and collaborate within a team as the situation requires
