WesTrac is looking a process driven, analytically minded Planner to join our Rebuilds Operational Support team at our Welshpool location.

Using your experience in maintenance planning and knowledge of mining machinery, your primary accountability will be to provide a detailed Build Gantt that will enable an efficient ‘compliance to plan’ process within the execution team. Attention to detail is paramount as this acts as a machine’s single point of reference for the safe and efficient execution of Rebuild work within the department.

To be successful the following is required:

• Demonstrated ability to scope and quote jobs for business development requirements
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
• Basic understanding of financial principles (e.g. budgeting, forecasting)
• Experience with planning tools such as AMT, Project or SAP.
• Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office, internet-based applications
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
• High level attention to detail
• Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
• Caterpillar product knowledge, including drills and shovels
• A drive for continuous improvement
• Mechanical Trade Certificate coupled with post qualification experience within a Maintenance Planning function (desirable)
