Corporate Controller Our client, publicly traded on the NYSE and TSX exchange is an exploration firm turned gold-silver producer with an operating mine in Mexico and several exploration projects in Latin America and the Western US. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic hands-on contributor to join a team of professionals supporting a growing international mining organization. The well-established accounting/finance team can provide guidance and mentorship to the Corporate Controller enabling continued professional development and opportunities to stretch and strengthen their Accounting/Finance skillset. The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO and will be based in Denver, CO.

The Controller will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for public disclosure
• Monitoring the monthly close process

• Co-ordinating with subsidiary accountants and operating personnel as necessary

• Assisting auditors with quarterly reviews and annual audit

• Coordination and maintenance of the fixed asset records

• Working with outside consultants to prepare quarterly and annual tax provision

• Assisting with project accounting for large capital projects

• Documenting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX) and accounting regulations

• Research and comply with new accounting pronouncements

• Assistance with annual budgets and forecasts

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experiences/credentials:

• Previous consolidation experience with multi-currency and USGAAP to IFRS adjustments
• Experience with a public operating company

• Strong ERP background (exposure to ERP conversion program is a strong benefit)

• BS in accounting

• CPA preferred but not required

• 10-15 years accounting experience

• Exposure to international accounting principles including working with multiple currencies

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

• Spanish language skills helpful but not required
