Position Overview

The Field Support Lead is responsible for training and coaching a highly engaged team of Specialists who provide quality support and outstanding customer service to all areas of the Kiewit organization. Responsibilities of the team include handling inbound calls, cases, and chat requests covering a variety of services provided by KBS.

District Overview

Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value. Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance and continuous improvement.

The KBS Field Support Team provides the front end support for all departments within KBS. Field Support is part of the Organizational Services Department.

Responsibilities

Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Field Support Specialists which will include training, mentoring, quality control, productivity and providing guidance with troubleshooting and problem solving
- Understand and fully utilize technology to alleviate customer-impacting concerns; ensure prompt and accurate assignment and resolution of service requests
- Monitor team workloads and assist and backup as necessary; support team in responding to internal customer questions and concerns
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external Kiewit departments; understand Kiewit's core business, organizational structure and departmental functions; promote a sense of urgency toward business critical issues
- Understand, communicate and monitor internal control processes and procedures
- Communicate pertinent information to supervisor and manager immediately; provide specialist performance feedback to manager
- Responsible and consistent attendance

Secondary Roles and Responsibilities
- Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement
- Perform other job specific tasks as needed or assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional business experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Leadership skills including relationship building, coaching, collaboration, team-building, problem solving and decision-making
- Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to develop specific goals for the team and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish daily work and projects
- Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization and develop highly effective teams and alliances
- Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate assertively and to influence and motivate team members; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills; ability to use logic and reasoning to analyze and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous SAP experience
- Prior work experience in a shared service organization
- College degree in business or related field
