Job Overview

We are looking to hire a dedicated Jr. Communications Specialist / Technical Writer to create technical content and templates. You will work alongside the Content Specialist for Teck’s RACE division. The content specialist’s responsibilities include evaluating the current documentation and knowledge management practices and helping restructure the way documentation is written and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Creating templates on a variety of knowledge management tools
• Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content
• Communicate and cooperate with a team, including product owners, product leads, and the content specialist
• Develop related content for multiple platforms i.e., Confluence, SharePoint, MIRO
• Assist with developing guidelines and best practices for the new Knowledge Management System within the Product division

Qualifications:

• Proven record of technical content writing
• Analytical and critical thinker who can contribute to conversations around knowledge management systems
• Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues, and management
• Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously
• Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
• Proficiency with computers and programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Confluence, SharePoint, Miro
