Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will work on multidisciplinary project teams providing structural engineering and related technical expertise. Project assignments may include design and analysis, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. Primary clients will include industrial, power, manufacturing, refinery, and mining companies. The work may require short-term, out-of-town work assignments.

NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of industrial and construction sites and may also require entering and working within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities and construction sites. Safety training will be provided for work in these areas. Applicants may be asked to participate in a drug screening program at the request of specific clients.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (including structural analysis and steel and concrete design)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certified or ability to obtain within one year
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheet software
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative
- A flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
- Acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
- Experience with structural engineering analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, or MathCAD
- Experience with 3D software such as Revit
- Strong technical skills in a wide range of structural analysis and design
