About the role

We are looking for an Analyst to support on Technology and Information management improvements across the health, safety and environment (EHS) domains for the corporation, product groups and the HSE function and to partner with the technical team to prepare scoping documents for information systems projects.

This role is a great opportunity for an individual to be a part of a team whose motive is to achieve Rio Tinto Group vision of 'Zero Harm'. Working a 5 days on, 2 off roster and reporting to the Principle Advisor - HSE Technology and Information system, you will be:
  • Ensure underlying data handling platforms across HSES (SAP/Enablon/Cority) are operational and fit for purpose.
  • Liaise with the SME on addressing technical concerns of business users (help desk)
  • Work with development team in ensuring that all technical systems and documentation conform with Rio Tinto standards
  • Execute the improvement projects for technology tools & other information management platforms
  • Undertaking pro-active technology & analytic initiatives to provide business insight
  • Providing development support for the systems improvements
  • Contributing to additional reporting & analysis work in the Health, safety and environment domains. This involves the ongoing application of HSE domain knowledge to assess data and provide performance insights.
  • Identifying and correcting data quality issues, if any

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Professional qualification - Graduate/Post-Graduate in Technology
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Technology, Information management and analytics
  • Competent in the use of electronic document / record management systems
  • Technical system management / support experience
  • Strong ability to prioritise information and activities based on urgency and importance
  • The incumbent will have experience in working for an international company. Strong interpersonal skills in order to relate well with remotely located businesses to obtain timely and high quality data.
