Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Document Controller in order to grow its Brisbane Mining & Mineral group to meet the large demand in critical metals projects.

Commencing into the Detailed Design phase of the project you will need to have a sound background in document control and coordination to ensure the project is executed successfully. This project promises to deliver to those looking for a challenge and inclusion within a successful team.

A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects .

In this role, tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Controlling, issuing and distribution of all engineering and supplier documents
  • Liaising with Document Control teams in other Wood offices to achieve maximum output
  • Completing document number requests, archiving and filing of hardcopies and scanning documents as required
  • Assist with the filing and project close-out of documents
  • Navigating and inputting data into a document management system
  • Receipt and control of information from client
  • Liaising with the client and other departments, giving recommendations as required
  • Promoting and providing general assistance of all aspects of document control activities


Skills / Qualifications

What will set you apart from other applicants will be your previous experience in the mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure industries. You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, ready to assist all departments when required. You will also have:
  • A minimum of 6 years Doc Control experience, with major project experience desirable
  • Experience and detailed knowledge of Supplier and EPC Project documentation processes
  • Further experience in an office administration capacity
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of mainstream document management systems

  • Effective communication and relationship building skills
