Position Overview

The Field Support Analyst is responsible for having an in-depth understanding of functions and processes. The Analyst will serve as Tier 2 support; handling more complex items and cases that cannot be addressed by Specialists or Leads. The Analyst will help make decisions regarding the escalation of customer requests to KBS functional areas or to Change Control and will work openly with Specialists to ensure full understanding of items that are tier 1 in nature.

District Overview

Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value. Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance and continuous improvement.

The KBS Field Support team resides in the Organizational Services area of KBS and provides the front end support for all departments within Kiewit Business Services. It is fast paced, challenging environment that provides each team member with the opportunity to continuously learn and grow in all facets of Kiewit's core business activities. Our customers are our fellow employees within the organization from entry level to executives.

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an escalation point for Field Support Specialists and Leads
  • Provide excellent customer service and be willing to go above and beyond in support of Kiewit's districts and projects; understand Kiewit's core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business critical issues
  • Effectively communicate with Field Support Team Management to discuss improvement opportunities, define risk, and develop strategy
  • Collaborate with Supervisor and other KBS Leaders to identify and resolve issues and concerns
  • Utilize reporting data to ensure master data and procedural items are being handled appropriately
  • Understand documentation; seek improvements in the operations of the team
  • Provide training to internal and/or external personnel as needed
  • Perform all activities of gathering documentation and data related to items that have been escalated to assigned tier
  • Act as backup to the team to fill in gaps in staffing
  • Serve as the go-to resource for internal team members as well as external employees
  • Reliable and consistent attendance

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs including Office, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Clear, fast thinker who is able to translate business needs into pragmatic solutions
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to decipher reporting and metric data and develop/act on strategies to improve trends
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
  • Ability to understand both functional and end-to-end processes
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization and develop highly effective teams and alliances
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision in a high volume environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills; ability to use logic and reasoning to analyze and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work


Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP knowledge
  • Prior work experience in a shared services environment


Work Environment

Shared Service Center - Professional office setting

Physical Requirements
  • Travel as needed
  • Lifting, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, etc.
  • Reading from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours including fonts of various sizes from a variety of source

  • Must hold valid US Passport (if traveling to Canada, Australia, etc.)
