We are seeking a Project Engineer.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support in the following areas:
- Engineering design for mine waste and water engineering projects
- Preparation and review of construction cost estimates
- Preparation and review of reclamation cost estimates
- Assist with project management of technical deliverables, scheduling and budgets
- Assist with preparation of permitting applications
- Perform field work, such as geotechnical investigations, engineering oversight during construction and manage QA/QC activities on mine-related earthworks
- Work collaboratively with other technical specialists
- Develop and maintain client relationships
Essential Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in civil, geotechnical/geological or mining engineering
- A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in the mining industry
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including writing skills
- Working knowledge Word, and Excel
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software, AutoCAD, GIS, slope stability and/or hydrologic analyses and software programs, is desirable
