Purpose

The Manager - Asset Management Fixed Plant will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the XXMtpa ore processing facilities, driving desired availability and utilisation of the fixed plant while reinforcing Newmont's desired way of operating

Essential Duties

• In conjunction with operational needs, recommend systems and process design that achieves overall technical, commercial and social objectives
• Develop methodologies to support the effective installation of the AM approach within the operations (Including acceptance by the people and union organization)
• Through both process and behavior, encourage integration across the value stream to better serve Peñasquito's Fixed Plant asset utilization
• Provide site-wide service in certain designated areas where it will provide more sustainability, effective and efficient operations, i.e. Crane Services, HVAC, Mining Infrastructure, Water and Sewage Treatment, Fuel Distribution and Document Control
• With the Asset Management Function co-ordinate the development of a clear Annual Maintenance Plan integrated with the budgeting and planning processes
• Effectively lead the AM team as an integrated part of Peñasquito's operations
• Identify and develop people to meet current and future organizational needs
• Develop a constructive culture based on adult interactions
• Be an effective team member of the Operations Team and EPLT
• Contribute to the overall plan including raising issues and concerns
• Build constructive relationships with other team members and across functional and departmental boundaries

Training & Experience

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or significant industry experience
• Recognized leadership skills
• Technical working proficiency in English, Spanish and French is preferred
• 15-20 years' experience in mining and or heavy industry construction and maintenance with a strong background in maintenance/construction.
• 10-15 years Supervisory experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven knowledge of planning and scheduling and budget forecasting. Development of annual maintenance plans and RCM models.
• Proven experience in working in changing environments in remote location or camp setting.
• Experience and knowledge with working in an Expat role in a unionized environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering business strategies that improve Asset Management performance, reliability and safety, reducing operating costs and maximizing return on assets
• Demonstrated experience with change, communication and knowledge management methodologies
