Job description:
Role Purpose
First Quantum Minerals is one of the world's biggest mining companies, employing over 20,000 people.
Ravensthorpe Nickel Operation is our flagship operation in Australia. Located on the beautiful south coast of Western Australia, we are just a short commute from the coastal community of Hopetoun. As a major nickel producer and exporter, we aim to ship up to 30,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate each year via Esperance Port.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Superintendent will play a crucial role to ensure the Human Resources department delivers all business outcomes focused for the site. The HR Superintendent will support the HR team to achieve their goals and develop a true business partnering support service.

    Key Accountabilities
    • Identify strengths and weaknesses to improve HR processes
    • Provide support to the HR team and other stakeholders, across all HR disciplines
    • Result driven success through practical attitude to tasks and issues
    • Provide managers with advice on performance management, reviews & improvement plans
    • Conduct disciplinary meetings with Managers and employees
    • Produce ad hoc reports for the business on request
    • Work collaboratively with the HR team to ensure employee personnel information and files are properly stored in accordance with legislative requirements
    • Advise Management on terms and conditions of contracts and variations
    • Manage the end to end recruitment processes
    • Ensure the RNO Org Chart is maintained and updated when changes occur
      Skills, Knowledge and Experience
      • Previous site based HR experience
      • Tertiary qualifications in HR or an associated degree desirable
      • Working knowledge in HR and IR
