International Account Manager - Mining

Are you passionate about sustainability and energy transition in the mining industry?

Do you have a successful track record in global account management with mining clients?

Can you demonstrate technical, and sales expertise with innovative digital solutions relating to industrial automation, energy management and energy automation (hardware and software)?

We are working with a global, multibillion-euro company who are leaders in providing energy and automation digital solutions, with an aim to be a digital partner for sustainability and efficiency. Due to extensive growth within their Mining, Metals and Minerals department they are now looking for an International Account Manager - Mining to be based in London.

This International Account Manager - Mining role will report to the Vice President & Regional Segment Leader - Mining, Minerals, Metals, and be responsible for driving a global key account to the next level of growth by working with them to achieve their sustainability strategy. For this role you will need a deep understanding of innovative digital solutions relating to industrial automation, energy management and energy automation (hardware and software).

Key responsibilities for this International Account Manager - Mining are:
  • Develop, articulate, and deliver against the account growth strategy that embraces the full portfolio of the client and which is aligned with our customers business priorities requiring the alignment and mobilisation of diverse stakeholders across a matrixed environment.
  • Develop and grow the profitable share of wallet and quality of business in the account worldwide.
  • Develop deep multi-tier customer relationships by gaining access to the customer at all levels by proactively facilitating regular executive engagements based on an in-depth understanding of the customers challenges.
  • Bring deep domain knowledge and strengthen thought leadership on industry trends and critical challenges facing customers.
  • Be recognised as the internal expert on the customer, their business and their opportunities by identifying, growing and managing the pipeline of opportunities while developing the key channels to market.
  • Effectively support the account build an extended team and foster collaboration between internal stakeholders (commercial, marketing, solutions architects, subject matter experts, execution teams).

Essential experience
  • A successful track record of sales, sales & account management, business development and closing deals on a global scale.
  • Passionate about sustainability and the energy transition, driving decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Mining sector as a provider of technology, solutions, and services into this industry.
  • Although not a domain expert with need to be digital savvy and have a confidence in selling technology to mining clients.
  • Technical and sales expertise will include innovative digital solutions relating to industrial automation, energy management and energy automation (hardware and software).
