The Senior Business Advisor works in a highly collaborative group environment to support and help improve the effectiveness of our Digital Operations leadership team

The Digital Operations team is responsible to support, maintain and improve Teck’s operating technologies, such as mobile fleet management systems and processing automation across eight global operations. Digital Operations also supports Teck-wide innovation program RACE, through responsibility of the Renew portfolio – a series of projects to update technology infrastructure.

To be successful, we are looking for a driven person with clear communication and interpersonal skills, who can work in an adaptable manner in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This person can build and foster positive relationships and engage maintenance leaders to motivate change.

Responsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Support continuous improvement of team engagement processes. For example; develop regular schedules for operational visits, team showcases and preparation of materials for town halls.
• Support continuous improvement of communication and information processes. For example; Draft senior management weekly status updates, develop governance forums for senior leaders and partners, mentor and assist in the preparation of regular reporting summaries across all teams.
• Support decision making by ensuring key operational information is available, and key business processes occur consistently. For example; Supports monthly recruitment review with Managers, and Quarterly Business review process.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships across Digital Operations and key collaborators, to find opportunities for continuous improvement.
• As required, lead strategic business initiatives from development through to successful execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Qualifications in Business Administration, Agile or Product Management considered an asset.
• 7+ years in business transformation or operations management role
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal forms
• Excellent digital literacy, proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
• Experience with design and implementation of management operating systems with focus on Cost Management, Risk Management and Planning.
• Confirmed standout teammate
• Strong project management skills
• Creative inquirer with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with Mining, other Natural Resources or Industrial business desirable but not essential
