Purpose of Role:

As a valued member of the Hudbay Treasury team, the sucessful candidate will support the day-to-day processes, systems, and reports that underpins the successful and timely execution of Hudbay's global treasury functions and responsibilities.

Ongoing Accountabilities:

Support the day-to-day treasury operations:

• Support the preparation of weekly consolidated cash and liquidity reports.

• Assist with the opening and closing of bank accounts as required and assist with the Scotia Connect banking system.

• Help with RCF draws and LC renewals.

Treasury Reporting and Monitoring:

• Support the preparation of the monthly treasury report.

• Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly investment report, quarterly community agreement report, and quarterly fair value of embedded derivative.

• Reinforce the monitoring for compliance with reporting and debt covenant provisions of Hudbay's HY bonds, capital lease and debt facilities.

• Support the preparation of consolidated financials by supplying data and analysis to financial and legal teams.

Precious Metal Purchases and Sales:

• Responsible for the review of trade confirmations with respect to the purchase (re. Wheaton Streaming Arrangements) and sale (re. dore sales) of precious metals with Canadian financial institutions.

Support:

• Support Assistant Treasurer in the management of relationships with Revolver banks, financing companies and credit rating agencies to help ensure long-term access to capital markets.

• Help to maintain and enhance the management of a system of treasury policies and procedures that ensure treasury activities are compliant with corporate polices, accounting guidelines and internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX regulations).

Capital Raising:

• Participate in the negotiation of terms of the Corporation's Corporate Revolver and for the planning and execution of HY debt re-financings, convertible bonds issues and common equity issues.

• Support the negotiation of rates and terms for OEM lease financings of replacement capital equipment and execution coordination.

• Assist with providing corporate cash flow models and due diligence materials to syndicates.

• Contribute to the development of financing plans for major projects.

Preparation of Hudbay's Global Price Deck:

• Collecting and analyzing supporting data from external sources and from Hudbay's marketing department.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering (with economics/business minor), or related field.

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional work experience in an accounting or finance role.

• Experience in a global corporate treasury role, or mining/natural resource sector is considered an asset.

• Working understanding of financial statements.

• Working understanding of financial modelling, cash flow analysis and credit metrics.

• Working understanding of macroeconomics.

• Familiarity with business valuation principles (DCF, NPV, IRR).

Required Skills:

• Proficiency at the expert level with Microsoft Excel is a significant asset.

• Skilled user of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to be used in building constructive working relationships across the boundaries of the Hudbay organization, characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and non-verbal) including delivering high-quality technical memos.

• Comfortable with liaising with other groups and various levels of management to deliver information to both financial and non-financial teams.

• A logical, detail orientated individual who takes a numeric, systems-based approach to problem solving.

• Strong analytical skills: able to discern large amounts of information and focus on the critical issues.

• Demonstrates the ability to take ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution.

• Resourceful, proactive and thinks creatively when faced with a task that is not routine.

• Detail-oriented to create accurate and complete working papers and reports.

• Sound judgment and decision making.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Able to work effectively under tight timeframes and meet deadlines.

• Respect for confidential information.
