Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner, Electrical , with good analytical skills, effective work planning abilities, and a diversified maintenance background, for our maintenance department. Reporting to the Team Leader - Fixed Asset Planning, you will work a two (2) week on / two (2) week off rotation, providing cost effective and efficient maintenance services plans for all aspects of the EKATI Electrical Services group.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Utilize the work management process to produce executable work schedules to the execution team.
- Under the work management process you will be responsible for: plan development, parts/materials ordering, development of material masters, external services, contractor interaction, and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) management with a higher focus on longer term planning;
- Coordinate and Plan Outages for the Electrical Services Department;
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to help deliver a twelve week rolling plan and ensure alignment on priorities and resources;
- Promote and demonstrate safe work practices;
- Forward thinking mentality and a continuous improvement approach is required for this position.
Education/Experience
- Engineering or Inter-Provincial / Provincial trades' certification in Electrical or Instrumentation;
- Minimum of three years' experience in maintenance planning;
- Supervisory experience would be an asset;
- Experience in Surface & Underground Mining would be an asset;
- Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP preferred);
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and MS Project;
- Effective communication skills to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner;
- Team player
- Experience working in the mining industry, northern Canada, and an understanding of the northern regulatory environment is preferred
