Who the successful candidate report to:

Reporting to the Controller/Assistant Controller
The role will incorporate the following tasks:

Supervise the monthly and quarterly financial closing process for companies in the Australian financial consolidation.
Review of HFM Financial Reports on a quarterly basis prior to approval by Controller.
Preparation of Statutory Accounts for Fluor’s Australian companies. Lead/key coordinator with external auditors for statutory financial audits/financial report preparation and signoff.
Take a lead role in preparation of the Finance section of the Fluor Australian Board of Directors report on a quarterly basis.
Daily cash management and releasing of online bank transactions. Lead role in day to day relationship with banking institutions and Fluor Treasury team.
Maintenance and distribution of periodical Cash Flow reporting.
Maintenance and submission of monthly/annual Payroll Tax reporting.
Review of General Ledger reconciliations, including responsibility for ensuring they are all completed on a timely basis. Note: Reconciliations are prepared and approved by the CFS group in New Delhi, India.
Approve journal entries and other manual adjustments that affect the financial statements.
Quarterly review of the SAP Fixed Asset register, including preparation of Action Authorisations (AA’s) for purchase of new Fixed Assets. Note: Fixed Assets are updated and maintained by the Asset Master group in New Delhi, India.
Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions and locations.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and global standards.
Interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, including internal and external auditors.
Manage portfolio assignments as requested by senior management, including definition, organization, planning, tracking and communication of status.
Manage direct staff reports and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback.
Actively support Fluor’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability policies.
Actively support Fluor’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies.
The successful applicant will require the following qualifications, education, experience and skills:

Accredited four year degree or global equivalent in Finance/Accounting.
Australian CPA qualification.
Good understanding of GAAP.
Good understanding of USA to Australian IFRS adjustments.
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include, but are not limited to, management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
Job related technical knowledge.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of state and federal statutes and guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Proficiency in ERP systems.
