We are currently looking for a Department Administrative Assistant to support the Sustainable Mine Development group at the Mining and Metallurgy division of SNC-Lavalin. Dynamic and results-oriented, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Toronto team.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Prepare documents according to the procedures established by the company and ensure the quality of presentation and uniformity.
  • Revise the spelling and structure of all tender documents as well as technical documents within the division.
  • Archive documents according to established procedures.
  • Assist in the travel booking.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of letters, tables, expense reports and timesheets.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings and conference calls.
  • Coordinate special events.
  • Manage office needs including office supply orders, mail, information technology service requests and any other related tasks.
  • Translate short documents.


What will you contribute?
  • High school or college diploma in office management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Experience in a consulting engineering firm is an asset.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written), French and/or Spanish would be asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional ethics, diligence, independence, good judgment, discretion, dedication.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
