WesTrac is looking for a dedicated and engaging Demand Analyst to act as an innovative change agent within our Planning team.

The Demand Analyst is responsible for analysing future demand signals for the Component Rebuild Centres (CRC), Flexi, New Machines and Machine Rebuilds, and consolidating these signals to make recommendations that will drive WesTrac’s strategic direction for planning and decision making.

The recommendations put forward by the Demand Analyst are critical to ensure efficiency gains and high customer satisfaction which places the business in a favourable position to win additional work.

Some key functions of this role include:
  • Analyse demand (plan vs unplanned) signals for components and convert into a labour demand
  • Identify and analyse market trends and variances to achieve accurate forecasts
  • Make recommendations to the business that will drive strategic planning and decision making
  • Maintain a cross functional demand tracking tool collating all business units with assumed demand inputs
  • Build relationships with various business units for accurate data input into a centralised planning tool
  • Ensuring that all standards procedures and systems for planning and scheduling are followed
  • Participate and drive development, build and implementation of scheduling systems across work groups in the business following a formal project management plan

This role comes with three months of hands on training, to ensure you are supported for the best start.

This is a full-time, permanent role located at South Guildford, WA .

About you:
  • Tertiary qualification in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Finance or an equivalent field OR at least 5 years’ experience in an analytical or similar role within the areas of maintenance planning or demand forecasting function
  • Proven forecasting and planning skills
  • Minimum intermediate MS Project & Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Intermediate understanding of financial principles (e.g. budgeting, forecasting)
  • Experience with aspects of process improvement and change management
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Flexible in approach and ability to thrive in an environment with a constantly evolving scope of work
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace.
  • Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and priorities to meet objectives
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
