About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Data Systems Improvement Specialist for a 6-month duration . This role will work part of the clients Rail Maintenance Excellence department and work an 5/2/4/3 roster FIFO from Perth or residential to Karratha .
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Key part of the Business Performance team in Rail Maintenance
  • Analysing & manipulating data from many sources to best discover and drive improvement projects
  • Identifying and executing discrete improvement projects
  • Collaborating with other departments and divisions to share knowledge and lessons learned
  • Presenting complex problems, journeys, and solutions to stakeholders effectively
  • Building strong relationships with key internal and external customers
  • Supporting relevant stakeholders in building a positive continuous improvement culture
About You:
  • Data Science / Mathematics / Software Engineering / Process Engineering qualification or relative experience
  • Heavy industry experience such as mining, rail, manufacturing
  • Experience leading and influencing people in continuous improvement projects
  • GIS experience
  • Power BI Reports or similar (Mandatory)
  • Power Apps including Power Automate (or similar) (Mandatory)
  • SQL (Mandatory)
  • VBA (Mandatory)
  • Business Improvement Tools (kaizen, lean, six sigma, 5S)
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Current Manual C Class Australian Licence
  • Full Working Rights in Australia
