Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

This in-person position is performed onsite at Freeport-McMoRan's corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona. Description

With general supervision, contribute technical expertise and leadership to drive impact, performance, and sustainability of the Remote Asset Monitoring Process (RAMP) advanced analytics digital tools and process that influence mining and mineral processing operations. Support site teams to monitor equipment at the operatuions using real-time technology and collect and analyze data with the goal of achieving higher equipment availability, lowering maintenance costs and assisting in operator education. Act as a liaison and common point of contact for the Remote Asset Monitoring Process (RAMP). Proactively collaborate on ownership and sustained adoption of enterprise-wide advanced analytics technology and processes. Provide support as needed for the Mine and Fixed Plant RAMP Teams.
  • Proactively collaborate on the scope, vision, and roadmap of the RAMP solution across sites and in alignment with stakeholder needs and the enterprise vision. Align and enable a team to achieve strategic goals based on scope and stakeholder needs. Identify key process indicators to track value and use them as a cornerstone for team focus, priorities, and value tracking.
  • Collaborate with the RAMP Enterprise Product Management team to build capabilities that support continued development and sustainment of the RAMP digital solution
  • Administer the collection and analysis of real-time data using various predictive technologies, develop advanced diagnostic tools, make recommendations to Maintenance and Operations divisions, provide subject matter support in coordination with other scientist, engineers, and subject matter experts. Encourage rapid prototyping and iteration
  • Assist in the development and testing of new remote asset monitoring technology in collabration with maintenance, operations and support teams
  • Conduct RCFA's and investigations with maintenance, operations, and other organizations
  • Develop and assist with on-site training for operations and maintenance employees
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires air travel.   • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years in a mechanical/electrical field including supervisory or lead experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline and three (3) years in a mechanical/electrical field including supervisory or lead experience
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and present statistical information
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
  • Skilled in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
  • Working knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical and or electrical principles


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MEM/UAS monitoring programs
  • Experience with Python (or equivalent) and OSI PI
  • Experience with Equipment Maintenance Systems, able to create work orders and order parts using current systems (SAP)


Criteria/Conditions:
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
