About The Role
Our client is seeking a Fitness Team Leader to assist with the daily operations of the Weipa Aquatic Sports Precinct (WASP). The role will ensure that the fitness facilities within the WASP is operational to a high standard in accordance with the operational requirements. The position provided will be varied hours of employment which will be tailored to suit the availability and operational requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement
- Proactive planning and programming of challenges and group fitness programs/classes.
- Facilitate a variety of classes including but not limited to circuit, bootcamp and boxercise.
- Mentoring and training fitness staff where required.
- Ensuring all fitness equipment is cleaned and maintained accordingly
- Flexibility to work split shifts.
- Rostering of fitness classes and staff.
- Develop and oversee Weipa Aquatic Sports Precinct Fitness policies, procedures and work practices as required.
- Report all incidents, accidents and any other matters relating to the efficient operation of the Centre to the Centre Coordinator
- Manage and monitor operational areas in accordance with relevant Health Department Regulations and Fitness Australia guidelines.

Skills and Experience
- Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Current CPR and first air certificate
- Fitness registration with Fitness Australia
- Working with children check/ability to obtain (blue card)
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Fitness equipment operation and maintenance
- Commitment and capacity to work split shifts.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake varied duties.
- Willingness to undertake additional training
- Sound knowledge of fitness training including testing, prescription and monitoring of clients
- Sound computer skills.

Desirable:
- 2 years & relevant experience in a fitness leadership role
