Organize, control, and evaluate ground support and shotcrete equipment maintenance activities in the Underground expansion to ensure optimum availability and reliability, with minimum cost in the most safe manner possible, to support underground mine production, and to achieve the designated goals according to Company's policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Review and control planned and unplanned ground support and shotcrete equipment maintenance, in order to accomplish maintenance activities efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure ground support and shotcrete equipment is repaired in safe working condition, maximizing availability to provide the tools for operations group to perform the critical task of ground support.
  • Organize and monitor ground support and shotcrete equipment maintenance resources (e.g., manpower, material/spare parts preparation, support equipment, etc.) and prioritize set up in order to ensure smooth maintenance activities, and support the availability and reliability of ventilation fans, compressors, fuel systems and other fixed plant equipment.
  • Coordinate and communicate with relevant parties (e.g., planning, operation, material management, contractor, etc.) to ensure smooth coordination, and support ground support and shotcrete equipment availability and reliability.
  • Bring up vendors to verify component breakdowns under warranty, and regularly inspect tool and spare part performance, in order to ensure the enforcement of warranty agreement.
  • Analyze equipment breakdown based on relevant data and/or information (e.g., failure data report, including hour meter, type of failure, cause of failure, and vendor verification), in order to optimize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Control maintenance cost in order to ensure the achievement of ground support and shotcrete equipment maintenance target within the allocated budget.
  • Review and evaluate monthly equipment performance reports, in order to ensure accuracy, and to ensure the equipment availability target achievement.
  • Fully participate in planning sessions to ensure maintenance plans are complete and complied with. Assist in the development of plans that encourage continuous improvement and higher productivity out of the work groups.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality, adherence to safety procedures and productivity of work crews.
  • Participate in the trouble-shooting and technical repairs of ground support and shotcrete equipment.
  • Assist in the development of training programs that advance technical skills of all personnel within the department.
  • Adhere to Fresh standards and fully participate in SHE measurements, programs and advancement of the programs.
  • Review inventories periodically to ensure sufficient spares are available, and are stocked in an economical method.
  • Develop, monitor, evaluate, and appraise performance and potential capabilities of subordinates to contribute to the development of the professional team.
  • Communicate, organize, and control the implementation of Company's safety and environmental policies and procedures, in order to ensure subordinates perform their duties in a safe manner and are environmentally conscious.

  • Qualifications
    • Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent with minimum of seven (7) years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing personnel within mining maintenance programs.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working around mining equipment with a preference for underground experience.
    • Strong knowledge of leadership, strong analytical skill and strong maintenance concepts and philosophies (planned/unplanned maintenance, SOS, CM, etc.).
    • Floor requirements analysis (innovative actions, planning, cost analysis and planned maintenance).
    • Maximizing of existing assets to boost up efficiency, productivity and reliable client services (manpower, cost, tools and shop).
    • Honest and good communication with the others (internally and externally).
    • Knowledge of ideal concepts and philosophy interpretations over floor suitable implementations.
    • Other PTFI mandatory competencies.
    • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Working experience with Jacon Maxijet equipment.
