Position Description:

Barrick is looking to strengthen its Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team by adding a Senior Financial Planning Analyst.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Corporate FP&A function on recurring Group forecasting, budgeting, and life of mine planning
  • Support of consolidation in the OneStream financial systems
  • Conduct maintenance, optimization, and improvement of various monthly, quarterly, and annual Management reports, analysis, and financial modelling
  • Partnering with Reporting and Integration teams on roll out, ongoing improvement and maintenance of the financial systems
  • Support of the impairment testing process, Investor Relations, Treasury and other Corporate teams with recurring work and ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
  • Mining industry experience required
  • Financial planning and analysis experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field required; CPA or CFA designation preferred

The following qualifications would be relevant for this position:

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling experience
  • Management reporting, working knowledge of PowerPoint, ThinkCell experience
  • ThinkCell experience
  • Experience in OneStream reporting system
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lead all aspects of a project with little supervision
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, as well as with senior management
  • Efficiency in both team-work and leading projects individually
  • Ability to pay attention to details; demonstrating organizational and accountability skills
  • Exposure to working with site teams or regional teams outside of the Corporate offices
