Reflecting that commitment, we are seeking a dynamic Manager - Health, Safety & Security to spearhead our Health Safety & Security teams based at our Cadia Valley Operations in Orange.

The focus of the role is to collaborate and develop the Health, Safety and Security strategies for Cadia, whilst driving the implementation of the strategy through support and professional advice to achieve the company, site and department visions. Key to the role, is your support of our NewSafe Behavioural Based Safety programme through engagement with all departments at all levels and to ensure that the risk mitigation and management systems are in place.

You will bring innovative ways to remediate any improvement areas identified or trends which become apparent regarding Health, Safety and Security, ensuring that site's Licence to Operate obligations relating to Health, Safety and Security are measured, reported on and achieved. You will further drive our safety culture through the continuation of the NewSafe program throughout all areas of the operation whilst supporting Supervisors and Opinion Leaders to embrace a positive safety environment.

As an active and influential member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide leadership and development for direct reports and the wider team, to ensure that their Leadership and Safety Management continues to develop in line with the Newcrest Values and Practices

As an ideal candidate, you will have at least 10 years' experience in Health, Safety & Security roles, ideally with at least 5 years of site-based experience. You have an ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a wide range of disciplines and have a high level of energy and commitment. With strong teamwork skills, with a willingness to share, partner and interface effectively with a broad set of stakeholders, you will have a passion to learn and a genuine belief in the value of diversity and a desire to challenge traditional ways of thinking and working in order to enhance value and outcomes.
