Position summary
An opportunity to work for a Tier One Construction Business Partner!

The Downer Water Services team is undertaking a program of works for the DOWSP programs - Water Southern zone and Wastewater Regional zone. This is a project delivery team for water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations and wastewater treatment plants.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Contracts Administrator provides effective and efficient commercial support to our Project team. With a focus on contracts administration, risk administration and zero harm, the CA is a valued and crucial role within the Water team.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
  • Review and process subcontractor's monthly progress payment claims including liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Support Project Commercial Manager in any changes to insurances and other instruments of contract security.
  • Support Procurement Manger with procurement process.
  • Preparation of subcontracts, negotiation of terms and award.
  • Preparation of claims for the Head Contract and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in negotiations for approval of variation of EOT claims.
  • Maintenance of variations and EOT registers to ensure team complies with time bar requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting.

ABOUT YOU
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven Contract Administration experience with a strong level of judgment and discretion.
  • Strong commercial management skills including, interpreting and applying contract terms and legislation provisions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • The desire to work within a collaborative team environment and contribute to the cohesive team culture.
