Responsibilities:
  • Must demonstrate Safety Leadership and safety-consciousness, teamwork and cooperation, honest and open communication, reliability and promptness, and consistency and accuracy of work.
  • Good communication and customer service skills. Must be able to communicate with Operations and Engineering (mine plan, design, etc).
  • Must be able to manage time accordingly to meet operation needs. Both solo and with team members.
  • Conventional traverse surveying and generation of development layouts (cutsheets for face advance), control points, line and grade calculations with use of lasers, completion scans for volume determination, mark-up of production rings, drill hole collars, etc.
  • Generate appropriate emails for information sharing around stopes or other mining processes.
  • Organize daily workload and effectively communicate progress on a daily passdown.
  • Demonstrate ability to use surveying equipment, including Vulcan and Deswik softwares.
  • Demonstrate ability to take-on additional projects as new technologies or systems are introduced.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with Excel (formulas, troubleshooting, and formatting).
  • Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation through honest and open communication.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to train others.


Qualifications:
  • College Degree or Certificate - not required but preferred.
  • 1 year previous underground survey experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Leica survey instruments and software.
  • Previous experience with Deswik or Vulcan software.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be proactive and able to communicate concerns.
  • Be able to communicate across different departments.
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
