Good communication and customer service skills. Must be able to communicate with Operations and Engineering (mine plan, design, etc).
Must be able to manage time accordingly to meet operation needs. Both solo and with team members.
Conventional traverse surveying and generation of development layouts (cutsheets for face advance), control points, line and grade calculations with use of lasers, completion scans for volume determination, mark-up of production rings, drill hole collars, etc.
Generate appropriate emails for information sharing around stopes or other mining processes.
Organize daily workload and effectively communicate progress on a daily passdown.
Demonstrate ability to use surveying equipment, including Vulcan and Deswik softwares.
Demonstrate ability to take-on additional projects as new technologies or systems are introduced.
Demonstrate ability to work with Excel (formulas, troubleshooting, and formatting).
Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation through honest and open communication.
Demonstrate ability and willingness to train others.
College Degree or Certificate - not required but preferred.
1 year previous underground survey experience preferred.
Previous experience with Leica survey instruments and software.
Previous experience with Deswik or Vulcan software.
Previous experience with Microsoft office suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Be proactive and able to communicate concerns.
Be able to communicate across different departments.
