What will you be responsible for?

Newmont is seeking a motivated Lubrication Technician to join the Process Maintenance Condition Monitoring Team. This position is responsible for implementing multiple lubrication strategies and standard methodologies throughout the high-grade mill to improve equipment life and reliability.

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:

  • We safely perform all required duties by following Newmont and site specific safety policies and procedures. Actively seek improvements in safety and lead by example to promote a positive safety culture.
  • As the lubrication technician you will be responsible for the lubrication of process equipment, collecting and processing oil samples, maintaining lubrication systems, contamination control, minimizing oil loss, performing inspections.
  • We maintain lubricant storage area(s) and handle lubricant inventory.
  • As part of the Condition Monitoring Team you will work closely with RCM technicians to drive continuous improvement, eliminate defects, and support root cause failure analysis initiatives.
  • We earn and maintain technical and professional certifications required to support business needs.
  • We are familiar with reading technical diagrams, schematics and procedures.
  • We have experience with computerized maintenance management systems and manual documentation.
  • We assist with a range of multi-skilled tasks associated with the role.
  • We follow state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company's environmental compliance policy.

Your Training, Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Previous experience in lubrication of fixed plant equipment as well as general plant maintenance and/or operations experience.
  • Be a transparent safety leader.
  • SAP PM system experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Exposure to condition monitoring.
  • Experience with Milling, Screening, Thickening, Conveying, Pumping, and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals.
  • Experience in process plant commissioning would be highly regarded.

Working Conditions & Location

  • The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position can be exposed to various conditions and work locations throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
  • Weather conditions change frequently and can become severe at times.
  • Ability to complete work tasks while exposed to weather conditions / elevation.

The salary range offered for this role is $55,680- 73,080. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
