The Asset Services Industrial business provides maintenance, turnaround, shutdown and sustaining capital programs for industrial operations and power generation across Australia and operate across industries including Power Generation, minerals and metals, iron ore, petrochemical and refining, bulk materials handling and processing.

Downer is recruiting for skilled Fitters with Steam or Gas Turbine / Rotating equipment experience who are highly motivated and driven, with proven experience working in the Industrial and Power Generation Sector.

POSITION SUMMARY

Join our team to be part of major works:

• Kwinana based work
• All shutdowns: 10-12-hour days
• Rosters including Night Shift and Weekend Works
• Competitive rates

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must provide evidence of the following:

• Previous experience within a shutdown/turnaround environment
• At least 5yr experience on Rotating machinery overhaul
• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Current Working at Heights ticket
• Current Confined Space
• High Risk WP licence
• An Industry White Card
• Proven experience with Rotating Equipment / Turbines specially Gas/Steam Turbines.
• Experience desirable in:
• Turbomachinery alignment,
• packings and seals fitting,
• Turbine/Compressor blading,
• Stationary to Rotating clearance checks and adjustment
• Float check
• Concentricity Check
• Turbine Fastener knowledge (lock wiring, hydraulic tensioning bolt)
• Blade Rock Checks
• Clean Conditions / Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) experience
