Our Project Delivery Group (PDG) helps clients with world-class project delivery from studies to building assets, operating the assets, and developing efficiencies through our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong personal commitment to Safety and Quality
  • Ability to work and communicate positively within a team
  • Experience in working with Scope of work and contract plans for procurement packages
  • Ability to be a working lead for a project team of designers forming a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure the delivery of critical vendor data and equipment to site for relevant mechanical and piping packages
  • Responsible for managing budgets, schedule and deliverables related to the scope
  • Working with engineering and construction to align deliverables with contractual requirements
  • Provide regular feedback to the Area Engineer on progress with preparation of deliverables


Organizational Structure, Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Reports to Area Engineer
  • With and under direction of Area engineers, responsible for scope, cost and schedule of packages
  • Oversees contract package from design to post award support
  • Expected to follow the full package lifecycle from the HO and may optionally transition to field
  • A project engineer familiar with multi-discipline packages
  • Familiar with contractual commercial structures and contracting models
  • Once package is awarded, technical single point of contact between Project and package supplier/contractor.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in a heavy industrial design and layout, EPCM environment is preferred
  • Ability to author Scope of Works and contract plans
  • Ability to understand estimates and perform package budget reconciliations
  • Understanding of project controls processes including scheduling and cost management
  • Familiarity with data-centric design tools incl. Hexagon SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, Tekla, Isogen, SPIN and SPEL preferred
  • Strong deliverable focus with a proven ability to attain quality and schedule objectives while maintaining budgets
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in mentoring young professionals
  • Strong client focus
  • Knowledge of project delivery, including the activities, interfaces and interdependence of all project disciplines
  • Knowledge of general office software and tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
  • Experience with greenfield and brownfield interfaces
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel for short durations to various global project offices or to site is considered an asset.
