We are looking for an Analyst, Buy to deliver supply chain services that deliver value through strategic sourcing and buying of goods and services for all operations and businesses. This is a fundamental role where value is achieved through uniformed processes, e-technology, increased corporate social responsibility and measurable savings for the group.

This is a great opportunity for a strong negotiator with strong SAP skills who can ensure that materials and services are purchased and delivered to the operations when they are required. The key success to this position is to demonstrate your ability to deliver consistent results, drive continuous improvement, and build credibility with business stakeholders.

Reporting to the Specialist, Purchase to Pay and working in a collaborative community, you will:
  • Incorporate commercial acumen with technical skill in an environment that is striving to achieve high levels of compliance to process, automation and data accuracy;
  • Provide a high level of customer service and accountability to deliver exceptional service, providing purchasing, expediting and data management services;
  • Identify Purchase to Pay (PTP) process or system improvements and champion change to increase efficiency of purchasing service;
  • Oversee end to end PTP performance for client base and provide analytical analysis on areas for improvement;
  • Continuous improvement training to maintain process standardization and keep team skills at the highest competency level;
  • Assist transactional purchasing automation through identifying new items for addition to the Business Unit specific catalogue from non-catalogued items ordered through the purchasing queue;
  • Identify issues affecting the purchasing function including people, process and SAP system issues;
  • Ensure purchase orders are created with accurate (agreed with supplier) deliver dates so that DIFOT metrics are not compromised;
  • Manage order responses and PO maintenance in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate on-time delivery and payment;
  • Engage with site warehousing teams to ensure timely goods receipting occurs;
  • Maintain a strong relationship with branch level staff for key suppliers to sites so that delivery issues can be quickly resolved.

What you will bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor level tertiary qualification would be beneficial
  • Strong experience working with SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Industry experience in roles such as purchasing, data management or SAP MM implementation projects
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills with analytical capability
