About Mount Milligan Mine

Located approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George in central BC, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant.

Mount Milligan operates with comfortable camp accommodations equipped with private washrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, an onsite gym, and other recreational activities. Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region.

Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a full-time Mill Maintenance Supervisor to join our Mount Milligan Mine operations site.

This is a camp-based position, with a rotation of 7 days on / 7 days off, with a 12-hour daily schedule.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent , the Mill Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of mechanical maintenance in the mill .

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising, planning, and leading the safe operation and maintenance of all industrial machinery within the mill
• Training and developing a diverse work force in the safe and efficient operation of equipment
• Providing effective leadership to build a strong employee culture
• Coordinating mill operations activities with other departments and contractors
• Contributing to the continuous improvement initiatives of the department
• Developing operating procedures
• Ensuring a high level of quality and production standards
• Encouraging and developing employee skill levels
• Ensuring a safe working environment for the team
• Completing shift and production reports in an efficient and timely manner

About You

To qualify for the Mill Maintenance Supervisor role, you must have 5+ years of Journeyman experience in a hard rock milling setting, and 3+ years in a supervisory role, with mining experience preferred. Possession of a Supervisor certification is also required.

T he following skills and experiences will be critical to successfully performing this role:

• Experience with a gyratory cone crusher and a grinding mill
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
• Ability to motivate crews
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specially Excel, Word, and Outlook

The ideal candidate will also be a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
